Job Description
We’re looking for an IT Assurance Assistant Manager to join us in Cardiff!
You’ll play a key role in supporting the IT Assurance Senior Manager, to ensure the overall delivery of a number of elements of the Model & Financial Control Framework (MFCF), including specific areas of the framework associated with IT Application Controls, models and End User Computing (EUCs) applications testing.

What you'll be doing:
* Working closely with other members of the Group Financial Control team to support them with the identification and accurate recording of application controls and key reports
* Supporting the effective delivery of testing for Models, EUCs and application controls across the in-scope L&G entities
* Providing appropriate management information with respect to Model, EUC and application controls to other members of the Financial Control team to support the information provided to the Model and Financial Control Committee and/or the Group Audit Committee
* Supporting the ongoing development of the MFCF with respect to Model, EUC and application controls and key reports across the Group
* Demonstrating a risk and control mindset through the pro-active identification of control weaknesses, and ensuring that all such weaknesses, as well as other control observations and issues are remediated quickly, sustainably, and effectively
Qualifications
Who we're looking for:
* Strong understanding of financial reporting risk and control frameworks
* Strong conceptual and practical understanding of the risks and processes associated with insurance and asset management businesses
* An ability to critically challenge technical requirements and to think outside the box to find innovative, practical and commercial solutions to problems
* Perhaps you are currently working towards an Accounting or Risk qualification?
* You’ll also be well versed in collaborating with a wide range of colleagues at various seniority levels
