Main Responsibilities
You’ll work with producers in digital and audio to decide what content will work for our BBC Bristol socials, determine the best treatment and then create it for each of our accounts. You’ll know what’s a perfect match for each situation - whether a bold infographic or a short video is best. You’ll always be aware of what’s trending locally and you’ll let your colleagues know which stories are performing well on socials and are connecting with our target audiences. You will be responsible for setting up pieces - persuading contributors to be filmed and deciding where to shoot. You will also be responsible for deciding the best time to publish content, and you’ll personally schedule the posts. You’ll then monitor them to see how they’re performing and reply to comments when necessary.
Are you the right candidate?
You will:
* Have knowledge of FCP (Final Cut Pro) and be confident using it for making social media content.
* Have an awareness of who we’re targeting with our content and how it fits into the Local Value for All strategy.
* Be aware of the BBC’s Social Media guidelines, and be able to analyse how well your posts are doing.
* Have knowledge of Bristol and the wider patch is preferable though not essential, and you’ll need to have skills to edit audio in order to make radio versions of your videos.
