An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pastoral Lead to join our team at Tipton Green College.
Tipton Green College is an independent specialist day school providing high-quality education for boys and girls. Based in Tipton, the college meets the diverse needs of pupils aged 11-19 with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
As our Pastoral Lead, you will:
* Take the strategic lead in managing the safety and attendance of all learners.
* Be responsible for the implementation of the school’s systems, procedures, and policies in relation to attendance and punctuality.
* Assist the Headteacher in helping to develop procedures with regards to pastoral provision for all learners.
* Be an exemplary leader in dealings with staff, pupils, parents, and outside agencies.
* Liaise with teachers to make appropriate arrangements for classes when staff are unexpectedly absent, ensuring appropriate cover within the year groups.
* Participate in Positive Handling and de-escalation techniques training.
* Promote and safeguard the welfare of the children and young people that you are responsible for or encounter.
