Job Title: Site Services Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Services Engineer to join our Engineering Team in Newtownards.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of core site services, including the wastewater treatment plant, to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime at the lowest overall cost.
Key responsibilities will include monitoring, reporting, and delivering improvements on key performance targets for services availability and energy reduction, as well as ensuring completion of all planned/reactive maintenance in accordance with all regulatory and food safety/customer requirements.
The Site Services Engineer will fully embrace the principle of continuous improvement within the Operational Excellence and Asset Care Programmes to achieve site objectives.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a recognized apprenticeship (educated to Level 3 Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering with substantial post-qualification experience in a maintenance environment) and a minimum of 5 GCSEs, including at least grade C in English and Maths (or equivalent).
It would be advantageous if you hold an HNC, HND, or degree-level education in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering.
You will also need to have experience in site mechanical and electrical services, steam generation, water services, CHP, Cooling Towers, HVAC, fire systems, WWTP (daf), LV electrical systems, and compressed air.
Desirable skills include experience within food manufacturing, L8 legionella training, and IOSH/NEBOSH safety qualification. Supervisory experience of contractors is essential.
You will be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and build relationships as part of a team. The successful candidate will also be computer literate with Microsoft Office and have experience with asset maintenance systems.
