The Role: As a WordPress Developer at Bamboo Nine, you will be an integral part of our tech team, focusing on crafting bespoke WordPress websites and plugins that exceed our clients' expectations. As well as building websites, you will work closely with the SEO and PPC departments, maintaining, updating and enhancing all sites to create value with each client that we work with. While our current focus is on WordPress, we are not limited by the tools and technologies we use today. The scope of this role is influenced by the skills and passions of our team members. Key Responsibilities: Develop custom WordPress websites and plugins from scratch, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and exceptional user experience. Utilise Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and the Gutenberg to create rich, custom content layouts, without relying on page builders. Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to understand project requirements, objectives, and timelines. Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new project releases and initiatives to support and enhance our existing applications. Maintain well-documented, reusable, and transferrable code. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and apply best practices in web development and security. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and communicating project status, challenges, and milestones to stakeholders. Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience in WordPress development, including themes, plugins, and custom post types. Strong understanding of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. Experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and Gutenberg. Familiarity with WordPress builders like Elementor, Beaver Builder, or Divi is advantageous. Proficient in responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
