NHS Derby and Derbyshire Integrated Care Board
Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) set up co-ordinated system control functions to co-ordinate and manage operational capacity and demand across the system and maintain patient flow.
In Derbyshire, this function is known as the System Co-ordination Centre (OCC) and it links with our System Operations Centre and provider Incident Control Centres (ICCs).
The SCC is a core part of the Integrated Care Systems (ICS) and we are looking to substantively recruit to the newly established team in order to support the function, to work as part of a rota providing support from 8am-8pm, 7 days a week on a permanent basis.
The role of the SCC is to always ensure the safest and highest quality of care possible for the entire population across Derbyshire by balancing the clinical risk within and across all acute, community, mental health, primary care, and social care services.
Led by senior clinicians and operational leaders harnessing the power of our Integrated Care Systems, the SCC ensures a consistent and collective approach to managing system demand and capacity as well as mitigation of risks.
Main duties of the job
The role supports the development and delivery of a robust operational performance and resilience function which links closely with system provider partners.
You will ensure timely and efficient management of a generic inbox, acting on communication received into the SCC and disseminate accordingly, collating and submitting information as required.
You will support system meetings from an administrative perspective; note agreed actions and owners, follow up on progress where appropriate and will ensure accurate recording and storage of decisions made.
You will be enthusiastic about the challenges of a busy working and constantly changing environment, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and to achieve deadlines.
You will be a highly motivated individual, with the ability to manage multiple system tasks and projects and will have excellent communication skills.
You will work well within a diverse team that is a dedicated system resource.
