The Role:
As a Breakfast Chef, you will assist in the daily operations of the kitchen, with a focus on breakfast service. You will work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure all health and safety guidelines are followed, and that high standards of service and cleanliness are maintained.
Your role is essential in supporting the team and providing a positive dining experience for our guests during breakfast service.

Role Specification:
* Ensure buffet counter food is consistently presented to the highest standard.
* Maintain the quality of food served in the restaurant, meeting the required standards.
* Adhere to food hygiene regulations, ensuring all kitchen staff follow these guidelines.
* Assist the Head Chef in managing daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service during dining periods.
* Collaborate on menu development, contributing ideas for exciting new buffet dishes.
* Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards in line with health regulations.
* Manage stock levels and inventory, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality from our suppliers.
* Monitor kitchen performance and ensure timely production of dishes during service hours.
* Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless and prompt service.
Personal Specification:
Essentials
* Previous experience in a similar role at a high-end restaurant or hotel.
* A genuine passion for cooking.
* Experience in handling large volume covers.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work in a team focused on achieving quality and high standards in the kitchen.
* In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, ingredients, and modern culinary trends.
* Able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment, with long hours and the ability to stand for extended periods.
Shift Patterns:
* 45 hours per week
* 5 days out of 7 including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
* Typical shift pattern:
o 06:00 – 15:30
