Who we're looking for We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Controller to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s credit and collections processes, ensuring timely payments from clients, and maintaining accurate records of all transactions. What you'll be delivering Assess the creditworthiness of potential and existing clients, set credit limits, and manage credit risk. Follow up on overdue invoices, negotiate payment plans, and ensure timely collection of outstanding debts. Maintain accurate records of all credit transactions, including payments,Prepare regular reports on credit and collections activities, highlighting any issues or trends. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to facilitate smooth credit and collections processes. Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations regarding credit and collections. Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned by the finance manager or other senior staff, which may include assisting with audits, supporting other finance functions, and participating in process improvement initiatives. We think you'll be successful in this role if you have some of the following Maths and English GCSE or equivalent essential. Proven experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to reconcile complex debtors' accounts. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time management skills. High level of integrity and professionalism. Ability to multi-task and work on own initiative.
