Description About the role We are looking for Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join our Grounds Maintenance team, covering sites across East Cornwall. You will be responsible for the maintenance of Cornwall Council grounds including grass cutting (continuing the implementation of Cornwall Council’s ‘Wilding’ wildflower initiative), trimming hedges, weeding shrub beds, maintenance of sports pitches, council run cemeteries and closed churchyards. Clearance and maintenance of watercourses and rivers. The successful candidates will have a wealth of experience in amenity horticulture and a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service About you We are looking for you to bring: Recent experience of undertaking a similar role and experience of operating grounds maintenance machinery Be a compassionate and caring individual who likes working and helping others when they are at their most vulnerable This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence Class B1, Class C1 is desirable. Self-motivation with the ability to use own initiative.
