What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and resilient practitioner to join our experienced alternative provision team. This is a fantastic time to join our team, as we develop our provision, to ensure that each and every student has the opportunity to learn and progress, especially those students who are struggling to engage with the mainstream curriculum in school, or who are not attending school at all.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience of working with young people, including vulnerable young people; will be committed to building strong relationships with families; and will be able to plan and deliver small group sessions to students. As our provision grows, we are looking for people who really want to develop their careers in alternative provision education, including colleagues interested in going into teaching in the future- and we envisage significant opportunities for career progression over the next few years.
Currently our alternative provisions are based both on and offsite (for example at Selby College), and the successful candidate may be involved in working at a variety of these provisions.
If you want to contribute to changing the lives of our students, we want to hear from you.
