ROLE PURPOSE\n\nOur clients are looking to recruit an Engineer Tutor who will be responsible for coaching, mentoring, tutoring, and assessing Level 3 apprentices on the Engineering Technician standard - Mechatronics pathway and Level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician (MOET) - Electrical and mechanical pathways.\n\nThe Tutor will support the apprentices to develop their knowledge, skills and behaviours that are required to be demonstrated within the apprenticeship. This will consist of coaching and mentoring sessions, knowledge delivery through teaching sessions that will be run at their classroom and workshops in Manchester. You will be required to teach in both the classroom and the workshop environment, complete guidance, and mock end point assessments to ensure that apprenticeships are ready for the independent assessment at the end of their apprenticeship.\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nFulfil teaching commitments which will consist of both classroom and workshop environment.\n\nManage and maintain a caseload of learners as agreed with your line manager and carry out regular learner interventions\n\nEnsure evidence for learning, achievement, funding, and Ofsted is captured effectively and timely including:\n\n20% OJT requirements are fully met and recorded as per procedure\n\nLearners achieve the highest grade in EPA they are capable of\n\nProgress learners using onefile, setting targets for Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours\n\nIndividualised learning programmes, agreed with employer and learner based on initial assessments and including Maths and English\n\nEngage the learner’s line manager, making clear their responsibilities and working collaboratively to provide support, guidance, and opportunities for learning\n\nPlan the end point assessment process with learners and employers, ensuring preparation and practice is included in the learning plan\n\nInspire and motivate learners and identify any barriers and adapt to your learners’ needs\n\nMotivate and drive learners to achieve their qualifications on time.\n\nDeliver Maths and English (and ICT where applicable), to support the learner’s achievement and progress in these areas\n\nEnsure marking and feedback to the learner is accurate and supports their development\n\nWork closely with IQA’s on best practice, development needs and providing sampling, monitoring as detailed in the IQA plan.\n\nMaintain a positive working relationship with employers ensuring progression and new leads are generated\n\nProduce accurate and timely reports as agreed with your line manager based on your KPI’s\n\nContribute to the production of high quality learning materials\n\nLiving the values of the Group through positive behaviours and attitude\n\nTo actively contribute to the our clients commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children, young people and vulnerable adults.\n\nQualifications\n\nRelevant occupational sector experience and relevant qualifications (at a level 3 or higher than delivery)\n\nFunctional Skills Level 2 in English, Maths, and ICT or equivalent, or willing to undertake\n\nAbility to deliver high quality, effective coaching that meets learner needs\n\nAbility to deliver engaging and interactive teaching in the work shop to meet learners needs.\n\nExcellent level of skills in written and oral and presentational areas, understanding the importance of focus on the audience to support learning\n\nAbility to plan, paying attention to detail and a track record in developing and delivering robust, effective, prioritised plans which achieve KPIs and strategic aims\n\nProactively drive learner performance and engagement\n\nTo be customer focused, having the ability to present our clients in a positive manner, persuading and influencing where necessary\n\nSeeks continuous improvement – seeks to improve processes and implement and embed changes\n\nDesirable\n\nTeaching qualification Cert ed/CTTLS/DTTLS/EAT/PGCE or equivalent\n\nCoaching qualification\n\nKnowledge of Government funded training\n\nTAQA, AVA, A1 or D32/33 Assessor Qualification\n\nBenefits:\n\nFully flexible working pattern– responsibility for planning your own diary\n\nCompetitive Salary\n\nSignificant pension contribution\n\nAll equipment is provided to complete the role\n\nGenerous annual leave entitlement\n\nDevelopment opportunities through our own in-house programmes and recognised qualifications\n\nStaff employee discount scheme for online shopping, days out with ‘You at work’\n\nHealthcare discounts\n\nPaul Feldman is the National Skills Agency Data Protection Officer.
