About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse looking for a fulfilling and varied role. Based in a modern, well-equipped veterinary hospital, this role offers the chance to work with a wide range of cases while being fully supported by a skilled and compassionate team.
The hospital is fitted with separate dog and cat kennels, in-house radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, piped gases, and extensive orthopaedic equipment to ensure the highest standard of patient care. Nurses play a crucial role in consultations, inpatient care, medication dispensing, and assisting in surgery, including schedule 3 procedures.
Nurses are encouraged to share ideas, lead by example, and contribute to improving services. With flexible working options available, the role supports a healthy work-life balance, ensuring staff feel valued and appreciated.
Key Responsibilities
1. Providing high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced environment.
2. Assisting in theatre procedures, diagnostics, and inpatient care.
3. Running nurse consultations, educating clients, and advising on pet welfare.
4. Dispensing medications and supporting veterinary surgeons in all aspects of treatment.
5. Promoting the charity's mission and working efficiently to maximise resources.
What They're Looking For
1. Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RCVS registered).
2. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with a diverse range of clients.
3. A team player with a proactive and adaptable approach to veterinary nursing.

5. Confidence in handling a wide variety of cases and assisting in surgery.
