Science is a popular, successful and vibrant department at CCF. We have 10 teaching rooms and 1 computer suite located on the top floor of the school. Each teaching room is equipped for practical work. We are proud that pupils enjoy their science lessons greatly and work hard to make good progress. A large proportion of students study Triple Science at GCSE and Biology, Chemistry, and Physics are popular and over-subscribed courses at A-Level.
The objective of the science curriculum at CCF is to develop the elite scientists of the future. Our curriculum aims to enable all pupils to develop their scientific knowledge and understanding, apply the processes and methods of scientific enquiry and evaluate the implications of science in the wider world.
Applications are welcome from early career teachers who have high standards, commitment, passion and the ability to teach across the full range of age and ability, up to and including A-level.
At Christ’s College Finchley we value our staff by providing a positive school climate. Our aim is to ensure a balanced, secure and healthy workplace where our teaching and support staff can flourish. We do this because we know that our staff are central to the success of our pupils.
Your passion for education will be evident along with essential qualities such as the ability to communicate effectively, the ability to listen and the ability to collaborate and work with others. You will have that unique skill of monitoring and inspiring our young people and in return we will provide you with every opportunity for a rewarding career.
