Our promise has always been clear: we will do everything in our power to improve pay for colleagues. And so, if you start with us between now and 31st of March, your pay will be £11.94 per hour & then from the 1st April, this will increase to £12.62 per hour.
Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
Who You will be supporting: I am a 58 year old female, living alone in a bungalow. I face daily challenges caused by a brain injury from a car accident about 20 years ago. I can easily get frustrated and therefore require someone who is calm, supportive, and has lots of patience. I need to be around positive people who understand my triggers and can help me with my frustrations. I need help with personal care and general housekeeping. My staff need to be trained to administer my medication, assist with my drinking and eating, help with my shopping. I am a smoker and will need my cigarettes included in my shopping and like to smoke as and when I want to.
What is important to me: In the last 6 months it has become very important to me to go out into the community. I am enjoying going to local restaurants, shopping, and generally socialising. I like socialising with other service users and attending local groups. I like to play games on my iPad, socialise through my iPad and talk to my family. I spend time watching Netflix and colouring in while at home.
Other important Information: We have 2 x staff on shifts, doing 12 hours shifts five times a week and twice a week 2 x 9 hour shifts. Staff will be trained in Moving and Handling and Medication Administration for this position.
