About the Role
Three Counties Veterinary Emergencies, based at Coombefield Veterinary Hospital, Axminster, is looking to recruit an extra vet for each weekend to add to our existing weekend day team.
Weekend Day OOH Vet
Rate of pay: £30-35 per hour depending on experience
Hours: 22 hours per weekend (7.30am-6.30pm Saturday and Sunday, plus 1 bank holiday per year)
We can be flexible to the frequency of weekends worked. Holiday entitlement is paid as it accrues.
Join our Friendly Team
This role will consist of taking handover from the night team who finish at 8am, followed by a mixture of consultations and procedures that are presented during the course of the weekend. The two weekend day veterinary surgeons will be responsible for the in-patients along with any patients that present, carrying out any investigations or surgery as necessary.
We have excellent facilities including 2 operating theatres, dental room, imaging suite, in-house lab with EPOC machine, cattery, kennels, isolation unit and pharmacy.
This role is attractive to vets who would like to add some OOH on top of an existing role, who are missing the excitement of emergency work, without the need for sole charge, on-call shifts or night work.
