We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Complex Needs Support Specialist to join our team, providing tailored support in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide personalised support to individuals with complex needs, including SEND, ASD, ADHD, and other additional needs, in educational or care settings. Develop and implement individualised support plans based on assessments and ongoing evaluations of each person’s needs. Assist in the delivery of specialised educational programmes and activities tailored to individual learning requirements. Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to support. Monitor progress, adjust strategies as needed, and maintain a safe, inclusive environment where each individual can thrive. Promote positive behaviour and well-being, offering emotional and practical support where necessary. Qualifications & Skills: A relevant qualification in health and social care, special education, or a related field (Minimum Level 3). Additional training in behaviour management, de-escalation techniques, or other relevant areas. Knowledge of relevant legislation, best practices, and safeguarding requirements for individuals with SEND and additional needs. Proven experience working with individuals with complex needs, particularly those with SEND, ASD, ADHD, and other additional needs. Strong understanding of the unique learning, emotional, and behavioural needs of individuals with additional needs. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and engage with individuals of all ages. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to adapt to changing needs. Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
