We are looking to recruit an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our Transport Division. You will be based in our Kirkby-in-Ashfield depot but will be required to work all over the United Kingdom, supporting our day-to-day operations.
We are looking for a flexible, motivated individual who will deliver an excellent service with a helpful can-do attitude. This is a great opportunity for someone seeking a permanent, full-time position with a dynamic and progressive company.
Our projects are located throughout the UK, and you may be required to work nights and weekends, which may sometimes mean working away from home.
Basic Salary £42,900 per annum + Overtime + ability to earn a weekly bonus.
Night out allowance £25 per night + £15 meal allowance.
Weekend and night working may be required for delivery of projects.
What you'll be doing:
Adhere to the DVSA and E.U Drivers hours Legislation and Regulations and to ensure the accurate completion of Tachograph procedures.
Ensure that the daily checking and reporting procedures regarding vehicle maintenance
Ensure the safety and security of loads.
Be courteous to all road users.
Ensure that goods transported arrive in good merchantable condition.
Ensure Health & Safety policy and regulations are fully observed.
Supervising the safe unloading of goods and ensuring that the correct procedures are followed.
Who we're looking for
Full HGV Class 2 Licence
Experience driving a ready-mix concrete vehicle would be advantageous but not essential
Up to date Driver CPC (Safe urban driving preferred).
CSCS card is beneficial.
MPQC/EPIC card beneficial but not essential.
Worked with or around Highway/Rail infrastructures would be advantageous.
Experience with delivering to building sites.
Able to take and follow instructions.
Team player with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
A can-do attitude with a flexible approach.
