SENIOR SUPPORT WORKER 30 hours per week. Located in Worthing. 27 days annual leave; an additional three days at Christmas and statutory public holidays. Salary Band 4, starting at Scale Point 19: £29,717 per annum pro rata (i.e., final salary £24,094). Permanent contract. Our client provides accommodation with support across Brighton & Hove and West Sussex for younger people. It aims to enable them to successfully transition between dependence and independence. They are currently looking for a Senior Support Worker to oversee this work at their new project in Worthing. Supported by both the Head of Supported Housing and the Service Manager, the role will ensure that appropriate and relevant support will be provided to all people accommodated within the housing schemes. The role will include significant liaison with the local authority social services department and therefore our client is looking for somebody willing and able to advocate on behalf of marginalised people. You will: - be committed to fostering positive professional relationships with the people you work with. - understand the effects of early trauma. - be able to provide ongoing support through the transition within our clients accommodation pathway. - support the West Sussex staff team from a senior level.
