Electronics Test Engineer duties will include:
1. Supporting the manufacturing processes with technical advice and guidance
2. Developing new and improving existing test methods
3. Supervising a small team of test technicians providing technical input as required
4. Overseeing a repair function supporting their workload and responding to any technical queries
5. Working closely with the design and NPI functions to determine testing methods as required
6. Collation and interpreting of test data to provide guidance and feedback on root cause of quality issues
7. Identifying areas for improvement in test processes
8. Liaising with various departments internally to ensure smooth introduction of new products
What you will need:
1. Experience in an electronics test focused role in manufacturing
2. Experience of being able to debug and fault find to board level
3. IPC-A-610 qualification
4. Good knowledge of circuit diagrams
What you will receive:
A salary of £40,000-£45,000 (dependent on experience) + pension, etc.
The working hours
Standard working hours are 8am-5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am-12:30pm on a Friday. The company do offer some flexibility around this to start and finish a little earlier or later if it suits the person.
