Job Title: Procurement Manager
Location: Vietnam
Contract and Shift details: Monday - Friday, 0830 - 1730
The Purchasing Manager will play a pivotal role in managing strategic partnerships with global suppliers of raw materials, packaging, and logistics. This position requires close collaboration with business partners to ensure that the supply chain meets current needs and is optimized for future growth.
The role involves overseeing supplier relationships, sourcing materials within ethical frameworks, and ensuring compliance with international regulations for seamless importation into Vietnam. Additionally, the Purchasing Manager will work closely with the operations team to optimize processes, minimize waste, and ensure uninterrupted delivery of finished products to customers.
What you'll be doing:
1. Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of both domestic and international supply markets to identify and secure competitive new sources. This includes assessing market trends, supplier capabilities, and potential risks to ensure the procurement of high-quality materials while mitigating supply chain risks.
2. Procurement Management: Oversee the entire procurement process for raw materials, additives, packaging, and contract manufacturing. Ensure that all purchasing activities align with company standards and production requirements.
3. Supplier Collaboration and Qualification: Work closely with the Quality and Technical Departments to ensure that all suppliers meet the company's stringent selection and qualification criteria. This includes adhering to the AB Agri process for evaluating and onboarding new suppliers.
4. Supplier Portfolio Management: Manage and optimize the current portfolio of suppliers through effective Supplier Performance Management. Conduct regular assessments of key suppliers to ensure they meet performance expectations and contribute to the company's goals.
5. Price Negotiation: Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable pricing for raw materials, packaging, and other materials. Focus on achieving cost savings while maintaining quality and service levels.
6. Inventory and Stock Management: Implement best practices in stock management, including controlling supplier performance.
What you'll bring:
1. Experienced in the end to end Procurement process - ideally including category management and use of e-sourcing tools.
2. Experience of negotiating contracts and good commercial acumen, high levels of emotional intelligence. Excellent communication skills across functional, geographical, and organizational boundaries.
3. Good analytical and negotiation skills both with stakeholders and suppliers, with a strong attention to detail and able to establish positions of strength from which to negotiate.
4. Has experience with Import and Export regulations in Vietnam and can adeptly navigate customs clearance processes.
