(pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation. About the area The Health, Safety and Wellbeing Directorate at UWA champions the safety, health, and welfare of all university staff, students, and visitors. Through best-in-class practices and legislative compliance, the Directorate works to create a dynamic and supportive campus where wellbeing is an integral part of the university experience. About the opportunity Oversee programs addressing manual handling, mental health, psychosocial risks, and ergonomics while aligning with legal and strategic priorities. Develop innovative systems, manage complex workers' compensation claims, and provide expert guidance to stakeholders. Conduct assessments, lead incident reviews, and implement strategies to enhance health, safety, and wellbeing across the University. About you Relevant qualifications in an allied health field (e.g., Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Physiotherapy) or extensive professional experience. Expert knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health, Workers’ Compensation, and Disability legislation, with the ability to influence compliance and promote best practices. Proven experience in managing complex injury cases, including psychological and physical conditions, with effective return-to-work outcomes. Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to engage stakeholders, influence strategic decisions, and deliver high-quality assessments and reports.
