Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Consultant with expertise in adaptive reuse, sustainable construction, or the circular built environment. This project-based role involves creating high-quality technical documentation to support UK funding applications, grant proposals, and regulatory reports related to sustainable building practices and resource-efficient redevelopment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of material reuse, urban regeneration, and green infrastructure, and be able to translate complex architectural or environmental concepts into clear, compelling documentation aligned with public funding criteria and sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct research and develop documentation highlighting the value and impact of adapted reuse strategies in construction, urban development, and sustainability contexts.
* Translate complex architectural, engineering, and environmental data into clear, accessible content for grant applications, public funding proposals, or stakeholder reports.
* Ensure alignment with relevant UK/EU sustainability and innovation funding frameworks, particularly in areas such as climate action, circular economy, and resource efficiency.
* Collaborate with experts in sustainable design, materials recovery, urban planning, and environmental policy.
* Stay informed on key trends in sustainable building practices, ESG compliance, and climate-resilient infrastructure.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in adapted reuse, architecture, urban sustainability, or circular economy projects.
* Strong understanding of environmental design principles, building lifecycle analysis, or resource-efficient construction.
* Ability to distill technical, regulatory, or project data into structured, compelling documentation for funding bodies, municipalities, or private sector stakeholders.
* Excellent research, writing, and editing skills, particularly within the sustainability and built environment domain.
* Knowledge of environmental and planning regulations, and how they intersect with public funding.
* Experience collaborating with architects, urban planners, engineers, or public sector innovation teams.
* Proactive, adaptable, and capable of managing complex projects involving multiple partners and regulatory timelines.
