This role will be working 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday. Raglan House Cygnet Raglan House is a 25 bed high dependency inpatient rehabilitation hospital for women experiencing complex mental health difficulties. The service is designed to provide an environment which promotes mental health recovery through delivering effective and evidenced-based interventions that improve wellbeing and also reduce risk. Job Role The role of the Assistant Psychologist will be to support qualified staff with the psychological care of female clients diagnosed with complex mental health difficulties by providing psychological assessments, developing formulations and delivering both individual and group-based psychological interventions under the supervision of a qualified Principal Clinical Psychologist. In addition, the successful applicant will be expected to assist in clinically related administration, and collection of statistical data for the development of audits and staff training. Clinical supervision will be provided as an important part of personal and professional development, and additional training will be supported. Candidate Profile Candidates for the role must have an upper second class honours degree or higher in Psychology, and further postgraduate training in relevant area of applied psychology and mental health is desirable. Previous experience of working within mental health services and settings is essential, and previous experience of working as an Assistant Psychologist and delivering 1:1 therapeutic work and/or group therapy sessions is desirable. Candidates will also need to have a good understanding of the importance of therapeutic boundaries, clinical risk, and evidence-based Psychological interventions.
