Job summary We are looking for highly motivated band 5 Staff Nurses who wish to work on an extremely busy elective surgery ward. We have 10 inpatient beds and a Day Surgery area, accommodating in taking all elective surgery patients on the The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital site. We care for General Surgical, Urology, and Vascular patients so the successful candidates will gain experience in nursing patients from a variety of specialities. Main duties of the job The main duties of the job is to care for a group of general Surgical patients assessing, implementing and evaluating care. We are looking for motivated staff who wish to expand their skills in a variety of surgical conditions. Staff employed would be encouraged to complete venepuncture and cannulation and male catheterisation.
