KeyResponsibilities:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyorat Kier Construction, you will play a pivotal role in managing andoptimising project costs from inception to completion, ensuringvalue for money while adhering to the highest standards of qualityand compliance. Specifically, you will oversee two concurrentcommunity projects in Cheshire and Crewe.
DailyResponsibilities:
* Lead cost planning and commercial management throughoutthe entire life cycle of projects.
* Preparedetailed cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans.
* Oversee and manage procurement processes, includingtender preparation and evaluation.
* Conductcomprehensive risk, value management, and cost controlexercises.
* Negotiate and manage contracts withclients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
* Monitor project finances, manage variations, and preparedetailed financial reports.
* Ensure compliancewith health and safety regulations and qualitystandards.
* Mentor and provide guidance tojunior quantity surveyors and other team members.
* Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers,architects, and other stakeholders to ensure projectsuccess.
What We Are Looking For:
This role is perfect for youif:
* You hold a degree in QuantitySurveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* You have extensive experience as a quantity surveyor,ideally within a main contracting environment.
* You possess strong knowledge of construction processes,contract law, and industry regulations.
* Youhave a proven track record in cost planning, budget management, andfinancial reporting.
* You are proficient inusing industry-specific software and tools.
* You have excellent negotiation, communication, andinterpersonal skills.
* You are detail-orientedwith exceptional analytical and problem-solvingabilities.
* You have leadership experience andcan mentor junior team members.
