Walter Everett is a specialist recruitment agency currently assisting our client in the search for an Enterprise Security Architect. This role is integral to the capabilities phase of the systems development lifecycle, translating security requirements, business conditions, and environmental factors (e.g., laws and regulations) into enterprise security architecture patterns and processes at contextual, conceptual, or logical levels.
What You’ll Be Doing
Work within the capabilities phases of the systems development lifecycle, unpacking and translating technology security requirements, business objectives, and environmental conditions into security architecture solutions.
Utilize Enterprise Security Architecture or Security Solutions Architecture expertise to:
Identify business objectives, assets, systems, and processes to support mission needs.
Define stakeholder security requirements and assess associated risks, threats, dependencies, and necessary controls.
Develop strategic, tactical, and operational Enterprise Security Architectures or Security Solution Architectures.
Baseline IT/OT/Network principles for security and define target architectures aligned with industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO, CIS, NCSC).
Map security controls to regulatory and business standards, ensuring compliance with UK Cyber Regulations.
Review and validate client requirements, use cases, and solution/segment architectures to align with organizational goals.
Oversee and support documentation, validation, and assessment processes for new and existing information systems.
Conduct discovery and audits, extract findings, and document actionable recommendations.

Subject matter knowledge in security architecture with domain expertise in areas such as PAM/IAM, Cloud, IoT, or Threat Profiling.
Applied knowledge of Secure by Design and Zero Trust principles.
Experience leading security presales opportunities through the sales lifecycle, including pricing and commercials.
Proficiency in defining and implementing end-to-end security controls across applications, systems, and infrastructure, for both Cloud (e.g., O/D365, AWS, Azure, GCP) and On-Prem environments.
Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively with delivery teams, partners, and stakeholders at all levels.
Expertise in at least two of the following areas:
Microsoft: AD, Key Vault, Entra, Sentinel, Lighthouse, Defender, Purview
AWS: IAM, Detection & Response, Data Protection, Compliance
Nozomi/Claroty
Crowdstrike/Vectra
Zscaler/Netskope
Akamai/Noname
Okta/SailPoint/CyberArk
Ability to communicate complex security concepts effectively to architects, business leaders, and technologists.
Experience working with public sector clients; eligibility to obtain or current possession of UK Government security vetting (e.g., SC).
