Willmott Dixon is a UK tier 1 main construction contractor, dedicated to delivering exceptional quality and customer satisfaction. We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced National Quality Manager to join our team, ensuring the highest standards of quality and technical compliance across our projects.
The Role
As a National Quality Manager (known as a National Quality Advisor), you'll be responsible for delivering compliance audits, providing expert guidance, and developing the knowledge and skills of our project teams and supply chain partners. You'll identify areas for improvement, share best practices, and drive consistency across our projects. Your expertise will help us maintain our reputation for excellence and ensure our customers receive the best possible service.
Based in the Southern Home Counties with 3 days a week on-site, this is a crucial role in delivering outstanding customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct National Quality Advisor visits to assess project standards against our Quality Management System, Yellow Book Guidance (our in-house quality manual), and other relevant technical and compliance standards
* Analyse trends, identify root causes, and develop solutions to common issues
* Collaborate with our National Product Team to shape guidance, processes, and standards
* Provide training, support, and feedback to project teams and supply chain partners
* Maintain and develop your professional competency and knowledge through CPD and training
* Lead by example, taking responsibility for delivering work to the highest standards
The Ideal Candidate
* Proven experience in construction, quality control, or a related field
* Proven experience in the construction industry, with the ability to read and understand specifications and drawings.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence change in behaviour and culture.
* Strong technical knowledge and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
* Ability to prioritise, plan, and deliver agreed objectives
* Ability to learn new software systems
* Experience in reporting on KPIs and collecting, monitoring, and evaluating management information
* Degree-level education in a business, construction, or engineering field, with a relevant professional qualification (desirable) -MCIOB/TFireE, etc.
