About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Health & Social Care Trainer to join the team at Maria Mallaband Care Group. Working closely with the Learning & Development Team across our National portfolio of homes.
Reporting to our Group Head of Learning & Organisational Development you’ll work collaboratively with functions across the business to support in the creation, delivery and evaluation of effective L&D programmes.
This role will be required to work some weekends and evenings to ensure all colleagues have appropriate access to learning outside of usual Monday-Friday business hours.
Responsibilities
1. Design and develop training programs and materials, suited to the needs of the resident population.
2. Facilitate engaging and interactive sessions, workshops and webinars on various topics.
3. Promote, encourage and champion high quality care delivery through engaging learning and coaching sessions.
4. Work in conjunction with the Quality and Operations team to be pro-active in reducing risk to residents and the wider business.
5. Forecast learning needs in the services and respond to those identified areas through facilitation and teaching and coaching
About You
6. 5 years experience in the Health & Social Care sector
7. 5 years experience of training delivery
8. Good understanding of care home operations – including the role of a registered manager and regulatory requirements for residential care services in England, Scotland & Jersey
9. Experience of creating and analysing training needs analysis
10. Knowledge of governing bodies relevant to the care sector
11. A full, valid driving licence is essential.
