Job Description
* Drafting legal documents;
* Assisting with a large caseload;
* Supporting Fee Earners with the day to day running of files;
* Utilising case management software and familiarity with conveyancing case management systems is desirable;
* Dealing with ordering routine property searches;
* Dealing with post completion and exchange of contract matters;
* Completion of all relevant paperwork;
* Creating and amending property related documentation;
* Production of routine correspondence;
* Liaising with Solicitors and other estate agents/ mortgage brokers;
* Taking instructions from Solicitor for sale and purchase files;
* Liaising with Clients;
* Supporting the senior Conveyancer with their Conveyancing caseload;
* Carrying out property searches;
* Updating the case management system.
The Successful Applicant
* Working knowledge of Conveyancing;
* Knowledge of conveyancing or finance legal practice is a plus;
* good communication skills with the confidence to liaise openly and clearly with colleagues and clients;
* Experience of working in a legal environment;
* Demonstrate a commitment to personal development;
* Working knowledge of computers and software with good keyboard skills;
* the ability to produce a high standard of work, sometimes under pressure, whilst maintaining accuracy and good attention to detail;
* Practical experience of handling client enquiries both face to face and by telephone;
* Experience as a legal secretary or assistant or paralegal.
