Lead People Partner - About The Role Key Responsibilities: Stakeholder Management & Strategy: Work closely with senior leadership to define and execute people strategies that align with business goals, fostering growth and innovation within a rapidly evolving company. Team Leadership: Lead and develop a small, agile HR team to deliver effective HR services, while ensuring alignment with the company’s overall objectives. Employee Relations & Performance Management: Provide expert advice on employee relations, performance management, and organisational development, drawing on your experience in technology or engineering sectors. Talent Attraction & Retention: Collaborate with hiring managers to attract, retain, and integrate top engineering talent, ensuring a strong, diverse team capable of thriving in a fast-moving environment. Culture & Engagement: Spearhead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and development, helping shape the culture as the company continues to scale. Operational Support: Guide leaders through complex employee relations issues, manage workforce planning, and ensure alignment with both short-term and long-term business needs. Compliance & Best Practices: Stay current on employment law and HR best practices to ensure legal compliance and uphold company standards. Site Support: Travel to various locations to directly engage with employees, attend site meetings, and support teams in multiple locations across the UK (valid UK driving license required). The successful Lead People Partner will have: Experience: Significant experience in a people partner or HR leadership role, ideally within a fast-paced, technology-driven or engineering-focused company (startups or SMEs preferred). People Strategy: Proven ability to drive HR initiatives that support business growth, particularly in engineering or technical environments. Stakeholder & Leadership Influence: Strong experience in managing senior stakeholders, challenging leaders, and integrating teams to align with the company’s goals. Expert Knowledge: In-depth understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and people management in dynamic, high-growth companies. Communication & Coaching: Exceptional interpersonal and coaching skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organisation. Problem Solving & Diplomacy: A proactive, solution-oriented approach to addressing complex situations with diplomacy and tact.
