Role: Supply SEN Teaching Assistants Location: Various locations Start date: As soon as possible Contract: (Flexible (ad-hoc, long-term and permanent opportunities available) Salary: £14.45 - £15.20 per hour This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a range of SEN schools and specialist provisions, supporting students with diverse needs, including social, emotional and mental health challenges, complex learning needs, speech and language difficulties, autism and ADHD. You will assist with classroom activities, provide 1:1 support and contribute to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment. Key responsibilities: Your role will change slightly dependant on the school and the role, but your main responsibilities will include: Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons, activities and interventions Working closely with students in small groups or one-to-one, supporting their learning and development Creating a safe, caring and nurturing environment for all students Adapting to the individual needs of children, following the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies Collaborating effectively with staff and build positive relationships with students Requirements: Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals is essential (within a SEN settings is desirable) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt to different school environments and student needs A patient, empathetic and proactive approach to supporting young learners Ability to drive is preferred as this opens up your opportunities for work An enhanced child workforce DBS (or willingness to obtain one) Why choose this role?
