Waracle are looking for a Head of People (Mat Cover) to join the UK’s Largest Mobile App Developer. It’s an amazing time to join our team of rapidly growing team of experienced specialists in design research, UX, UI, Scrum, product, data and cyber security, alongside developers specialising in native, hybrid and web technologies. This is a Hybrid role working from any of our Scottish Offices (Edinburgh, Glasgow or Dundee) but also involves travel to other offices when required. The term of the contract is 9 months. It is a 25 hours a week role and the pattern of working hours is flexible. As the Head of People, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our company culture, fostering professional development, and ensuring that our team thrives. You'll work closely with leadership to build an environment where every team member can grow and contribute to our shared success. Duties Supporting the business through a variety of actions and activities post-acquisition of another organisation, such as: Aligning salaries Consulting on job titles and duties Communicating changes to wider business Championing digital automation and seeking ways to get the most from our tech-stack within the people team - namely BambooHR and Culture Amp Managing a diverse team covering internal communications, L&D and HR, and working closely with talent acquisition, and indeed the wider business Evolving performance management systems that align with the company's goals and values, providing training and development opportunities to improve team member skills and productivity, and conducting performance evaluations. Creating and managing policies and procedures that promote a positive work environment and managing employee relations. Ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, including diversity and inclusion initiatives. Using HR data to inform decision-making and improve HR programs and processes. Helping the company and the People team to be notable leaders in our (their) field Requirements You will have previous experience operating at a very senior level, being a sound, trusted advisor to a progressive organisation. Clear demonstrable experience of Bamboo HR - specifically being able to drive value from this system through automation You will have a proven capacity to build strong relationships, cultivating a respect-based mindset internally. A mindset focused on continuous improvement and innovation - experience in Bamboo and Kantata would be a bonus. You will bring new, rationalised ideas and solutions, focused on the organisation's commercial planning and be comfortable as an innovator. You will have demonstrable experience in ambitious, progressive HR and commercial operations ideally within a professional services, software and design environment. MA, MBA or CIPD Qualifications are desirable but not essential.
