We are looking for a Medical and Clinical Administrator to join our Adult Mental Health Services situated in Ludlow. The Service offers mental health care and treatment across a variety of different age ranges and presentation.
The post holder will be working as part of a team along with other Medical and Clinical Administrators and Administrative Assistants. The post holder will be expected to be able to use their own initiative and judgement, although they will be well supported by other Mental Health Admin staff and through the clinical and professional networks accessible through the community teams.

Main duties of the job
Our Medical & Clinical Administrators are an integral part of our Admin Team. The role is busy, challenging and rewarding. We are currently looking for a Medical and Clinical Administrator working 30 hours per week Tuesday to Friday, supporting the Adult Mental Health Services based in Ludlow.
What will the role entail?
10. Administration work for Consultant Psychiatrist/Doctors/Clinical Leads and other Mental Health Professionals
11. Typing clinical letters
12. Diary and clinic management for the Consultant Psychiatrist/Clinical Leads - scheduling appointments, supervisions etc.
13. Confidently handling complex queries of a challenging/sensitive nature
14. Concise & accurate message taking
15. Using own initiative to proactively resolve problems
16. Minute Taking
17. Day to Day operational tasks to support the Consultant Psychiatrist/Doctors/Clinical Leads and other Mental Health Professionals

QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Essential
31. NVQ 3 in Business Admin, finance, customer care or relevant experience
32. Possesses a good standard of general education
33. Possesses a recognised typing qualification (RSA II typing or equivalent) or can display word processing skills to an equivalent level of competence
Desirable
34. Audio Transcription RSA II
35. ECDL
36. RSA III typing
