Mobile Roaming Security Officer – SIA Licence is essential to be considered for the role

This role will support the client in delivering industry-leading services. As the forefront of the business, it is expected that you will provide the best in business customer service to all stakeholders. You will be required to deploy to the highest risk areas/locations to support our client where needed and take a proactive approach to new age guarding.
Overall purpose: The ASEL Risk and Intelligence Department has been established under the Operations Strategic pillar to service an increased demand across UK businesses for intelligence-led risk-based solutions and shared services. Due to this new demand, an exciting opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to join the Risk and Intelligence Team as Tactical Officer Support Supervisor. The right candidate will enjoy the opportunity to lead teams of security officers across two main disciplines: Tactical (mobile) services to retail customers and Business Wardens/Rangers to Business Improvement Districts in UK towns and city centres. You will have the opportunity to put your own stamp on these services working with the Head of Command and Intelligence Centre, our analysts, and our Tactical Coordinators.
Main duties / key responsibilities:
1. Schedule Tactical (mobile) Officers and Street Teams based on risk and customer requirements.
2. Lead, motivate, and empower your teams to deliver the highest industry standard services to ASEL customers and the wider communities we serve.
3. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality management, operating a leader/leader structure with your teams.
4. Lead by example, always delivering the highest personal and professional standards.
5. Ensure all Security Officers complete their daily tasks and report any incidents effectively via the appropriate reporting software.
6. Ensure that all Tactical (mobile) Security Officers undergo the appropriate training for their role and are assessed against critical knowledge criteria annually, bridging knowledge gaps where necessary.
7. Support an exception-based targeted model across UK retailers and city centres in collaboration with the Command and Intelligence Centre.
8. Support the recruitment of new officers by conducting interviews and supporting due diligence.
9. Conduct first day officer inductions and training courses.
10. Prepare ROI/performance reports/presentations when required.
11. Conduct KPI driven reporting to the Head of Command and Intelligence Centre based on agreed KPIs.
12. Complete frequent tactical calls to Tactical (mobile) Security Officers and Street teams.
Working relationships: Internal: This role reports into the Head of Command and Intelligence Centre but will work collaboratively across all departments where required to implement effective roaming and dynamic deployment activities. External: Supplier and customer relationships will need to be fostered and maintained to ensure best value, excellent communication channels, and service delivery to be successful. Additionally, relationships with UK Police forces and strategic partners such as RAC, NBCS, and Business Improvement Districts and Business Crime Partnerships will need to be established and maintained.
Essential: A Full UK Manual driving license is required to be considered for the position; a vehicle will be provided, which will be based at a specific site. Phone and Tablet are also supplied with the role.
