The Opportunity
The appointed candidate will support the Older People and Carers team in delivering commissioning projects and performance managing contracts within the adult social care directorate. The purpose of the role is to ensure continuous improvement within a defined portfolio and to deliver improved outcomes and savings against contract spend.
The post holder will have an initial focus on the extra care, care home and domiciliary care portfolio. The work will involve contract performance management, with a strong focus on quality. The post holder will be involved with contract arrangements of existing and new services.
Liaison with a wide range of external and internal stakeholders, including health, will be key as the post holder will be involved with transformative integrated commissioning projects.

About You
We are looking for a confident professional, who is:
1. Experienced with contract management.
2. Experienced in commissioning new and innovative services.
3. Experienced in project management and supporting projects in adult’s social care.
4. Aware of current health and social care policy, as it applies to care of older people.
5. Experienced in delivering contract management activity within large complex organisations.
6. Proactive with a can-do attitude.
7. Analytical and able to solve problems quickly and efficiently with close attention to detail.
8. A great team player.
