Job Description
Working within the client team, you will be reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager. The role is of a commercial manager, tasked with commercial and contract management of a portion of the 'Genco-541' responsible designer contract, in place between Edvance and NNB. The role will provide commercial expertise and support to the UK Engineering teams, including interfacing closely with the Paris-based HPC contract management team on the entire scope of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Contract managing and administration support, working closely with the contract management team and specifically the Senior Commercial Manager and Contract Lead. This includes quotation preparation, change management, early warnings, and other contractual events.
2. Managing, coordinating, negotiating a portfolio of varied and complex contractual events from inception to implementation.
3. Developing and implementing commercial strategies to respond to emergent contractual topics and issues.
4. Providing commercial and contractual subject matter expertise to the Engineering teams, both in the UK and in France.
5. Producing, analysing and presenting financial, contractual, and commercial data to internal project teams as well as the client.
6. Coordinating with Change, Cost, Risk and Schedule teams to ensure coherent and consistent project progress.
7. Planning, preparing, and negotiating of offers as part of an offer team.
8. Implementing all commercial and financial governance requirements.
9. Operating in accordance with the EPR-E Information Management System (IMS), rules and procedures to ensure that all contracts are administered within delegation of authority and the overall EPR-E governance/ assurance regime.
Qualifications Background:
1. At least 8 years of professional experience in Contract Management on complex and multicultural industrial and infrastructure projects (energy, construction, transportation or defence industry), with clear knowledge of best practice contract methodologies.
2. CIPS accreditation.
3. Knowledge of risk and claims management.
4. Educated to degree level.
5. Specific knowledge of UK law and its impact upon the contractual and commercial functions.
