Job Description
The role of Teaching Assistant is an excellent opportunity to support in changing the lives of young people, within our Primary school. This role will contribute to a high-quality and invaluable programme of education, for vulnerable students who present challenging behaviours. Providing guidance for our pupils, you will ensure that students are effectively supported, motivated, and challenged.
Resilience is a key part of this role, alongside a good standard of education, and a proactive attitude towards learning behaviour management techniques - implementing strategies and utilising de-escalation to diffuse behavioural issues.
Main Duties and Accountabilities:
1. Engaging in interventions, both in and out of lessons, to foster effective participation of students in the social, behaviour, and academic processes of the school.
2. Working with the team to implement behaviour management strategies, and developing relationships with students who may be vulnerable and/or have complex needs.
3. Liaising with other agencies to ensure that student needs are fully met.
4. Supporting the teacher in the delivery of engaging and successful lessons.
