Senior DO-254 Certification Engineer - Leading Aerospace Opportunity
Are you a Senior DO-254 Certification Engineer with experience in safety-critical industries like aerospace? We're recruiting on behalf of a top-tier aerospace company seeking to expand their team with a highly skilled engineer to lead hardware certification efforts and ensure regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead programs in determining product certification strategy and establishing the certification basis in accordance with DO-254 standards.
2. Oversee compliance planning and the determination of means of compliance for assigned projects and products.
3. Review development artefacts and perform certification audit pre-assessments of both internal projects and external suppliers.
4. Conduct audits of project/product artifacts and verification activities to assess compliance with the certification basis.
5. Provide support to Customer AR/Regulatory Authority audits and collaborate with Integrated Project Teams to resolve audit findings/actions/observations.
6. Participate in and contribute to industry working groups focused on DO-254 and related standards.
7. Mentor and provide technical guidance, coaching, and development for less experienced engineers within the certification team and broader engineering community.
8. Develop and implement training modules as necessary to elevate the knowledge and skills within the team.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Proven experience in hardware certification engineering, with a focus on DO-254 standards within safety-critical environments, particularly in the aerospace industry.
2. Direct design experience/knowledge with ASIC, FPGA, and CPLD technologies.
3. Experience working with regulatory compliance related to Advisory Circular 20-152 and RTCA/DO-254.
4. Demonstrated ability to lead compliance efforts and successfully navigate the certification process.
5. Knowledge of ASIC design and fabrication, including both fabless and foundry aspects.
6. Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to influence others and lead small teams.
7. Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
