The firm boasts a diverse portfolio of clients from smaller owner-managed businesses through to leading regional organisations, providing dedicated support and advice in all aspects of their clients’ accounting, business and taxation needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
Taking full responsibility for your own client portfolio, the successful candidate will proactively manage client expectations whilst focusing on excellent quality of service. Responsibilities will include:
1. Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
2. Preparation of management accounts
3. Advising clients on bookkeeping and accounting systems and controls
4. Provide Sage support and training to clients including advising on Sage installation
5. Preparation of personal and corporate tax computations
6. Calculation of tax liability for individuals and companies
7. Company secretarial work
8. Management of client audits (although this is not essential it can be incorporated into the portfolio)
You will be expected to build and maintain strong client relationships, working closely with these businesses to provide a high level accounting service.
Skills and Qualities
The successful candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified and will have gained a number of years’ post-qualified experience working within the accountancy profession. Experience of managing your own portfolio of clients would be beneficial along with knowledge of management accounting, business advisory service, accounts preparation, taxation, and potentially audit.
The business can offer an element of flexibility for client work dependent upon experience; however, additional training and support will also be provided.
