A day in the life
As a Program Manager, you’ll drive and manage the implementation of creative, data-driven change in Amazon, leading improvement projects and programs. You’ll use strategic thinking to define and implement an efficient project plan. Some managers are based on-site while others work remotely, depending on the most suitable option for their team and tasks.
Program Managers have significant responsibilities, and you’ll deal with complex challenges with creativity, innovation, and leadership. With a responsibility extending beyond process improvements, you could also contribute to improving other areas of the business, like diversity, equity, and inclusion.
About the team
Amazon Freight allows both small and large businesses to use Amazon to transport products in bulk across Europe. This is an innovative technology-driven service currently growing rapidly in Europe. We are a technology powered business, and we utilize Amazon’s expertise in technology and operations to delight our shippers. Amazon Freight is part of the Amazon Transportation Services organization responsible for many of Amazon’s best-in-class logistics and transportation operations.
We are looking for a London/ Luxembourg based Program Manager who will be responsible to drive supply program for new Amazon Freight initiatives in the EU. In this role, you will be focused on developing supply programs tailored to launch new Amazon Freight services such as driver loading, dangerous goods and high value goods. You will own metrics related to capacity, cost and supply performance for these new services. You will partner with cross-organization teams, business analysts, Product Manager, engineers, data scientists and finance launching and driving initiatives to manage liquidity, cost and performance.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* A degree.
* Relevant experience communicating with and influencing a range of different stakeholders including senior management.
* Relevant experience in managing large-scale programmes or projects.
* Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Advanced or master's degree.
* Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Prince2 certifications, or any other project management certification.
* Relevant experience working in a supply chain, logistics, or operations environment.
* Experience in conceptualising and implementing operational or supply-chain management improvements.
