The Role
Working in a busy office environment you will work as part of a team to process school applications, helping us to ensure that every Bolton child has access to a school place.
You will work in a dynamic and constantly changing environment where you will be required to use your initiative and apply policy to help the authority meet its statutory duty. You will liaise with parents/carers and schools to secure school places, dealing with both telephone and email enquiries.
About You
You will be a self-motivated and energetic individual who is able to work effectively as part of a team. You should be confident and able to present and deliver presentations to various audiences, being a confident and effective communicator both verbally and in writing.
You should be able to demonstrate effective organisational skills, with the ability to plan, develop and prioritise your work. You will work accurately and to deadlines to ensure the correct information is recorded and processed and have good systems knowledge and spreadsheet skills.
You will have a working knowledge of school admissions legislation, both at a local and national level, and should be able to apply this to individual cases.
