Assessment (medical and psychiatric), treatment and management of patients referred to the service. The doctors work will be supervised by the consultant psychiatrist involved in the service. Attending and contributing to MDT meetings including 72 hours meeting, formulation meetings, professionals meetings and discharge meetings. Multidisciplinary team working will be essential; collaborating with GPs, Community Treatment Team and primary care clinicians regarding the physical health care of patients admitted to the unit. To work collaboratively with other Senior Clinical Colleagues in the inpatient care team. To take a lead role with the consultant psychiatrist, ward Manager and other colleagues in service improvements and development. To contribute to the ongoing training and development programme within the team. Administration responsibilities include appropriate documentation as required within the Trust systems.
