The role
As a Licensed Aircraft Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Ensuring aircraft engineering, line and depth maintenance and all other engineering related activities and services are provided as required to always meet and exceed customer expectations and LAFT2 contractual needs.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible, alongside a team of mechanical and avionic LAE’s for the generation and release to service of serviceable and safe aircraft in accordance with civilian legislation/regulation and in line with Babcock company approvals.
* You will help to drive the delivery of the flying activities at RAF Benson or any of 13 other LAFT sites alongside your Babcock and Military colleagues by taking a ‘Whole Force’ approach to our activities and ensuring that Babcock’s excellent safety and delivery reputation is always maintained.
* Ensure aircraft engineering, line and depth maintenance and all other engineering related activities and services are provided as required to always meet and exceed customer expectations and LAFT2 contractual needs.
* Coordinate all CAA part 145 paperwork.
This role is full time and based onsite at our RAF Benson site. This role is 40 hours per week on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern or as required by the business given suitable notice. Shift patterns and timings may change if deployed to match the needs of the site. Weekends included.
Essential experience:
* Ability to demonstrate practical and theoretical standards required
Qualifications:
* EASA Part 66, B1.2 licence
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS security clearance for this role.
