About the service We are excited to announce that we are looking to recruit a Residential Support Worker to join our team at Hestia House, a four-bedded residential service for children and young people aged 8 to 18 with disabilities or complex changing support needs. As a Residential Support Worker, you will adopt a person-centred approach encouraging our children to develop new skills that help them navigate the daily challenges they face. Assisting young people in transitioning into services that maximise their opportunities for a positive long-term future. We prioritise ensuring that the voices of the children are always heard providing a collaborative and caring service. Our commitment is to create a safe and happy childhood experience for the children in a friendly, warm, and inclusive environment. We are seeking a qualified Level 3 Practitioner who is compassionate, possesses a positive attitude, and demonstrates adaptability to changing situations. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be working closely with the young people and their families. How you’ll help create brighter futures In the role of Residential Support Worker, you'll be: Providing lead case/care planning management, including assessing, reviewing, and managing risk. Co-ordinating responsibilities within the service, with multi agency and producing family information, including analysis and written reports. Attending professional meetings including reviews, court work etc. Leading shifts with the primary aim of the provision of a high-quality service. Supervising and guiding staff as required, in accordance with Action for Children policies and procedures. Leading by example with the application of Action for Children's policy procedures and professional practice standards and in line with registration requirements. Ideally you will have: Experience of leading Shifts in a Care setting. Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or recognised equivalent). Experience and training in safeguarding. An innovative and creative approach to problem solving. Experience of developing tailored care plans. The ability to create a safe and fun environment for both staff and children in the home and in the community.
