Job summary The Gastroenterology Directorate are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Gastroenterology Team at the Northern General Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to support the clinical administration of the service, which has busy inpatient and outpatient service across two sites. These roles will support the department, ensuring patient pathways are recorded accurately and patients receive a first class service. Main duties of the job The post holder will need to have excellent work typing skills. Previous relevant secretarial experience is desirable. The post holders will need to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to work with colleagues from a variety of professions and backgrounds. The post holder will be expected to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service. A key part of the role will be ensuring the delivery of an efficient and high quality service to patients and therefore the post holder will require extensive experience of working in a healthcare, customer care or retail/hospitality setting. Familiarity with Trust systems such as Lorenzo, SystmOne, ICE, and Digital Dictation is also desirable but not essential for the role.
