Job Title: Financial Accounting Manager - 18 month FTC
Location:
North West England, South Manchester (commutable from Wilmslow, Cheadle, Alderley Edge, Stockport, Runcorn etc).
Job Type:
Contract, 18 month FTC (not day rate), Full-Time hours, Hybrid 3 days in the office/2 WFH
Job Duties:
* Manage and oversee financial accounting activities for the UK and Ireland
* Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
* Prepare financial statements and reports
* Balance sheet reconciliation
* Monitor and analyse financial data
* Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
* Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes
* Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors
* Provide financial analysis and support to senior management
* Manage and mentor a small team
Required Qualifications:
* Proven experience in financial accounting
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
Knowledge and Skills:
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP such as SAP or Oracle
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in a managerial or supervisory role
