Robert Half are working in an exclusive partnership with a leading, reputable company in Chippenham to recruit a newly created Senior Accountant role to join their finance function on a full-time permanent basis. This is an autonomous role that will take ownership of the lease accounting process across the organisation as well as business partner with various stakeholders and reviewing/implementing processes and procedures. The salary is between £50,000 - £55,000 plus hybrid working and other benefits.
The Role
The main duties of the Senior Accountant role will consist of the following:
1. Ownership and management of the lease accounting process; ensuring controls are maintained, oversight of lease related payments and transactions.
2. Balance sheet reconciliations.
3. Financial reporting and analysis to support leasing activity across the business.
4. Cash flow forecasting.
5. Business partnering with various stakeholders; translating financial data into business information and dealing with complex queries.
6. Supporting with VAT returns on a monthly and quarterly basis.
7. Implementing/improving processes and procedures.
Requirements
To be considered for the Senior Accountant role, you must ideally possess the following skills/attributes:
8. Must have either management and financial accounting experience.
9. Lease accounting experience would be advantageous.
10. Ideally ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified, QBE will also be considered.
11. Inquisitive mindset.
12. Strong attention to detail.
13. Highly organised.
14. Excellent work ethic.
15. Strong communication and relationship building skills.
16. Experience in implementing processes or procedures is desirable, not essential.
