Our client, a social care company with Children's Homes for Children and Young People with EBD and associated learning disabilities throughout the Northwest, is currently looking to recruit a dedicated, compassionate, and flexible Support Worker to ensure that the care provided is of the highest quality in an environment that supports and encourages children to reach their full potential.
Reporting to the Registered Manager, duties include:
1. Implement and deliver the EYFS curriculum in accordance with the children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs.
2. Keep informative, accurate, and up-to-date records and assessments, including records of progress and any behavioural and developmental reports.
3. Carry out any recommendations made following regulatory inspections.
4. Work within the setting's policies and procedures.
5. Respond to each child's need for individual care and attention and provide a high level of care and supervision that enhances the children's general health and well-being.
6. Act as a Key Person to a group of children and ensure their needs are reflected in the planning of routines and activities, supporting the work of other staff in their role as key person as required.
7. Be aware of children's special educational needs and disabilities, and work with other staff and external agencies to support these children effectively.
8. Help promote positive values, attitudes, and good child behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with established policy and encouraging children to take responsibility for their own behaviour.
9. Undertake any reasonable duties as directed by the Registered Care Manager.
As a successful candidate, you should have 2 years of previous experience within residential care, a compassionate and empathic nature, and a passion for caring and achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.

Salary: £13.50 P/H + £65 overnight bonus
Study Support for NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care
Shift pattern: optional shifts available, 24 hour or 12 hour with day/night
Training period until early 2025 will be Mon-Fri 9am-5pm and holidays will be given for Christmas and New Year.
