About the Role:
We’re looking for a skilled Fire and Emergency Preparedness Advisor to ensure fire safety and emergency preparedness at Hinkley Point C. This role involves developing and implementing fire safety measures, conducting risk assessments, and leading emergency preparedness activities on a high-profile construction project.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct fire risk assessments and ensure compliance with regulations.
* Develop fire and emergency response plans, including evacuation strategies.
* Deliver fire safety training and toolbox talks.
* Conduct inspections, audits, and incident investigations, implementing improvements as needed.
* Collaborate with teams to embed a strong fire safety culture.
* Maintain emergency response equipment and lead drills.
Qualifications & SkillsEssential:
* NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* 5+ years of EHS experience on large construction sites.
* Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and high-risk environments.
Desirable:
* ISO45001 Internal Auditor, First Aid at Work, or accident investigation training.
