We are seeking to appoint a Consultant in Oncology to join our well-established existing service. Flexible working and a good work-life balance are important at Airedale, and we therefore welcome applications from candidates who may wish to work less than full time.
The successful candidates will have the opportunity to participate fully in the provision of Oncology services both at Airedale and with our Partners at Bradford Teaching Hospitals.

Providing the best care for our local population is a key driver for the department. We are looking to continue to develop a sustainable service that is based around ongoing development. A few examples of our current achievements and future plans include:
* A well-established team of chemotherapy trained nurses that has recently been increased to support with increasing demand, this team includes two non-malignant CNS.
* Consultant Pharmacist and specialist Oncology pharmacist support – with prescribing for chemotherapy and also clinics.
* A brand new aseptic preparation facility to future-proof the local pharmacy service alongside a refurbishment for our day unit facilities.
* Both CNS and Pharmacy-led clinics which are set to increase in the future.
* A dedicated mobile unit to deliver treatment within the community, with a second unit due to launch in November 2021.
* We have a well-established joint weekly MDT with Bradford Royal Infirmary.
